Kandi Burruss
Grammy Winning Singer/Songwriter, Entrepreneur and "Real Housewives of Atlanta" Presents the Keynote Address Saturday at 2:30
Kandi Burruss puts a brand new spin on the term “POWERHOUSE.” Being phenomenal at taking her career to the next level, the beautiful risk taker entered the entertainment business a teenager as a founding member of the iconic multi-platinum selling girl group, Xscape. Now twenty years later, Kandi is a “fan favorite” on Bravo’s #1 Housewives show, “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” That’s not it: this superstar has catapulted her success of the last few years as a “housewife” into creating and executive producing her own TV show on Bravo, “The Kandi Factory,” a much talked about online weekly relationship show, “Kandi Koated Nights,” and a top- selling iTunes app, “Kandi Koated Spades.” Kandi is also the owner of two trendy boutiques, T.A.G.S. and T.A.G.S.II in her hometown of Atlanta, and the award winning intimate toy line, “Bedroom Kandi,” where she has added an in-home multi-level marketing service as well.

“I’ve always believed that if you can dream it, you can achieve it. I’ve been blessed with a lot of success. To some, it seems that it has happened overnight, but after 20 years in entertainment, that’s hardly the case,” states Kandi.
Having helped to sell more than 60 million records worldwide for iconic recording stars such as TLC, Destiny’s Child, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and more; Kandi has also amassed a number of high profile awards in music that includes: winning a Grammy, being nominated for an American Music Award and making history as the first woman to win the ASCAP “Songwriter of the Year” award in 2000 in addition to being awarded with a “Living Legend” award. Her ability to write hit songs for some of the most contemporary artists in the business gave her the necessary confidence to think outside of the box, broaden her audience, and experience. She recently worked with double Grammy Award-nominee and multi-platinum country sensation, Jo Dee Messina and Gospel great Marvin Sapp on a duet that hit number 1 on Billboard’s “Gospel Digital Songs” chart. Both in-studio sessions were shown on Kandi’s hit TV show, “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
“Working on country songs, in particular, is so different from R&B and Pop,” states the prolific songwriter. “You truly experience the whole recording moment with live instrumentation and records being cut on the spot with one take.”

Kandi showcases her innate skill for creating hit records and turning seemingly unskilled people into stars with her new show, “The Kandi Factory.” Successfully transforming RHOA cast mate, Kim into a diva, Kandi remembers being constantly approached by people on the street that would say, “If you can do that for Kim, I know you can do that for me!” Not too long after, with the help of Bravo, “The Kandi Factory” was born from a special and immediately green lighted to become a series.
In 2012, Kandi surprised even herself when her Midas touch took home one of the top awards in a different industry: adult entertainment. “I won the AVN award in less than a year of conceiving the product. I truly wasn’t expecting the win but was really excited that I did,” exclaims Kandi. She recently was nominated for five of AVN’s O Awards that recognize the companies and products that raise the bar for the novelty and pleasure products industry.

After partnering with Ohmibod in 2011 for “Bedroom Kandi,” together they thought up the most ingenious designs the industry had seen. “I wanted to make something discreet that women would be comfortable owning,” Kandi states. Many of the products are made to look like make-up containers. “Make Me Over” is designed as a compact, while “Kiss Me” is made in the shape of a lipstick. With over 2000 people signed up as ambassadors for Bedroom Kandi, Kandi is ready to take the line to the next level: door to door.

Forever spontaneous, Kandi spawned her weekly online relationship show, “Kandi Koated Nights,” during the uStreaming promotion of her last CD release, “Kandi Koated” (2010 — Warner Bros.) after a fan began making risqué comments that Kandi didn’t deem appropriate. She simply told him to wait until after 10PM and she would have those conversations with him then and she did just that. The after-hours conversation was SUCH a HIT that Kandi decided on doing a weekly show and has been doing such for more than three years.

Known as one of Rolling Out Magazine’s Top 25 Renaissance Women in Atlanta, Kandi’s willingness to go beyond marginal barriers, and her entrepreneurial spirit has allowed her to delve into other business fields as well. Her trendy and expanding Atlanta- based boutique, T.A.G.S., is known for providing affordable, quality threads for style-conscious women. She has also moved into providing apps for smartphone users. Feeling like African American consumers that buy apps outweigh companies that create apps, Kandi joined Konsole Kingz to make Kandi Koated Spades.

“They reached out to me asking how to play the card game spades,” says Kandi. “I told them how I play and the way most of my friends play, where the deuce is wild and people can call you out on reneging. I’ve put all of that in my game.”
Even with so many projects underway, Kandi is also working on her actor’s reel, having guest starred on the TBS television comedy, “Are We There Yet?” and BET sitcom, “Let’s Stay Together.”

Kandi says, “Since I was in high school, it’s been my dream to be an actor. I’ve been going forward in making that happen. Now I have an agent and I’ve made a few cameos. If someone doesn’t pick me for his or her movie, I’ll produce my own,” she says, chuckling. “That’s just one of my aspirations for 2013.

KANDI BURRUSS is always looking ahead, planning her next move — it’s the stamp of a mogul. “So many people are afraid of failure, but not me. The only way you’re going to be successful is if you’re fearless. I try to go into everything with that state of mind.”

Loni Love
Comedian and Host of FOX-TV's "The Real" Presents the Keynote Address Saturday at 2:00
A real-life journey that takes a person from a latchkey kid of a loving and hardworking mother in Detroit’s Brewster-Douglass Housing Projects to a stand-up comedienne/movie star/bacon loving television personality is not something that happens easily or often, but somehow Loni Love pulled it off with her usual aplomb. Not to say there wasn’t a lot of hard work getting there, but when Love puts her mind to something, well, you better move out of the way.

Loni Love is currently a co-host of The Real, the one-hour daily talk show which has just been renewed for a fifth AND sixth season on Fox stations. The nationally syndicated show (with a rebroadcast in primetime on cable network BET) was touted by the New York Post as “fun, funny, involved in life, outrageous by nature, warm and, most of all, real.” The show was nominated for four EMMY Awards, including Outstanding Talk Show, and won the EMMY for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Hosts. The Real also won a 2018 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Talk Series.

As a young person, Loni knew the smartest way to get ahead was to work hard and take scheduled naps. Working hard was an ethic passed down to her by her mother. The naps were Loni’s own doing. While in high school, she worked on and flirted with the guys on the General Motors assembly line, discovering a passion for electrical engineering. Her smarts, hard work and determination helped her land a scholarship to Prairie View A&M University in Texas. She took her studies very seriously but was equally as driven in her downtime. While in college, she began dabbling in stand up and brown liquor, loving every minute of captivating an audience with her comedy. When she graduated college, she took an engineering job in California, which worked for both her chosen vocation and her ‘side-gig’ as a comedienne.

She quickly became a regular at the legendary Laugh Factory, working during the day as an engineer and at night doing her comedy. In 2003, she was a finalist on the revived Star Search, and not long after, Loni won the Jury Prize for Best Stand-Up. From there, she was invited to showcase on HBO’s U.S Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. At this point, it was time to make a career change, and thankfully for audiences, Loni went with comedy. “I took some time to think about what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. At my job, my manager had a massive heart attack. It made me realize that nothing is certain, nothing is for sure, and if I’m going to make a move, I gotta make a move now.” Loni told Ebony magazine.
In the ten plus years since she began doing comedy full time, Loni has found her niche on The Real (“It’s like a younger, intoxicated version of The View” said Jezebel), as well as the recurring guest DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Loni also currently co-hosts the Café Mocha radio show with rapper MC Lyte. They’ve interviewed President Obama and the First Lady as well as superstars like John Legend, Toni Braxton among many others. Café Mocha is the only nationally syndicated show of its kind that was created exclusively BY and FOR women of color. You can catch the show on over 40 stations including SiriusXM Channel 141. Additionally, Loni has guest hosted on Fashion Police and has been a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight and E! Along with her work on television, Loni has appeared in myriad movies including Mother’s Day, the successful Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 opposite Kevin James, Soul Plane with Kevin Hart and the Bad Ass franchise with Danny Glover and Danny Trejo.

In addition, Loni is the subject of the documentary “Being Loni Love”, which traces Loni’s life story from her early days as a latchkey daughter growing up in Detroit’s Brewster- Douglas housing projects to national stand up comedienne, tv and movie star.
Author (“Love Him or Leave Him but Don’t Get Stuck with the Tab” came out in 2013), popular stand up comedienne, theatre actor, film star, television host, roving reporter and part time aunt – Loni Love has no plans to slow down.

Tameka "Tiny" Harris
Grammy Winning Singer/Songwriter, Entrepreneur and Star of "T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle" Presents the Keynote Address Saturday at 1:30
Tameka “Tiny” Cottle-Harris transitioned from a teen star to an astute businesswoman with a creative and cutting edge approach to entertainment. Best known as a member of the legendary multi-platinum R&B group Xscape, she later emerged as a Grammy Award winning songwriter. Venturing into television production, she offered dual talents as the star, and executive producer of the reality show Tiny and Toya. The show finished the season as the highest rated show in BET history and reintroduced Tiny to a new generation of fans. It also served as a national debut for The OMG Girlz, a teen group that Tiny has developed and co-managed for the past few years. At home, she is a loving wife to rap star Clifford “T.I.” Harris and a devoted mother to their six children. She currently serves as one of the executive producers of the VH1 hit reality show T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle. In the show, America witnesses her family dynamic firsthand. This is a rewarding experience for her, because she attributes her string of successful endeavors to the strength and inspiration she draws from her family.

Tiny grew up in the south side Atlanta suburb of College Park surrounded by music. Her dad, Charles Pope, along with her uncle is a founding member of the R&B group The Tams. As early as she can remember, she traveled with the group and watched from the sideline as they performed. It was on those trips, that she developed aspirations to be an entertainer. Her mother, Dianne Cottle-Pope, was very instrumental in helping her foster those dreams. As a young girl, Tiny was cast in a national commercial promoting the Tom and Jerry Show and worked regularly as a print model for Rich’s and JC Penny’s. Upon discovering her natural singing ability as a teen, her father quickly enrolled her in vocal lessons. Then at 15, she nailed an audition for entry into the R&B group Xscape. In 1992, music mogul Jermaine Dupri signed the group to a record deal with So So Def Recordings. Their debut album Hummin Cumin at Cha was released in 1993 and went on to sell over a million copies spawning two number one Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Singles, Just Kickin It and Understanding. The group went on to release two more albums, Off the Hook and Traces of My Lipstick. Over ten million copies of the albums were sold worldwide and earned the group two Soul Train Music Awards. Unfortunately, the group disbanded in 1998. The following year, Tiny and former Xscape member Kandi Burrus co-wrote the run-away hit No Scrubs for R&B group TLC. Tiny cites this as her best career move to date. The song scored a Grammy Award for “Best Song of the Year” and topped the Billboard charts at #1 for 10 weeks. The song ultimately ushered in a new sound for upcoming artists and helped catapult the careers of its collaborators.

Tiny launched a music production company, home to the OMG Girlz, a teen pop group featuring Tiny’s daughter and best friends. The group has garnered millions of YouTube views and they are currently performing in sold out arenas all across the country. In addition to working on the OMG Girlz’s forthcoming music project, Tiny continues to build her empire as an outstanding executive producer. She’s currently working on the launch of several shows including, The Real Hairstylists of Atlanta and a spinoff with her best friend and hairstylist, Shekinah Jo. She also has other ventures including the launch of Tiny’s Tequila, an Phone app, acting and so much more.

Her family afflictions with Alzheimer’s prompted her to create “For the Love of our Fathers”, a non-profit organization she started with T.I. in 2009. The organization was formed in honor and now memory of her father and T.I.’s dad Clifford “Buddy” Harris, Sr., who both passed away after suffering with the disease.

With an affinity for work in the spotlight and in the background, Tiny is committed to building her family legacy. Ultimately, fans can continue to look forward to all things new, hot and inspirational from this dynamic woman.

Syleena Johnson
Co-Host of TVOne "Sister Circle", R&B Diva, Health Advocate and Bestselling Author Delivers the Keynote Address Sunday at 12:30
Soul Reigns Supreme on Syleena Johnson’s Rebirth of Soul, the R&B Diva United with Father - Legendary Soul/Blues Singer Syl Johnson for their First Recording Together In Over Two Decades. The iconic Etta James once said about authentic soul and blues music, “You can’t fake this music. It’s how you connect to the songs and to the history behind them.”

Syleena Johnson is one of those undeniable talents whose unfaltering truth shines through every note she sings. Undoubtedly one of the best singers of her generation, Johnson has collaborated with everyone from Kanye West and Common to Anthony Hamilton and R. Kelly. Syleena is co-Host of the daily live talk show “Sister Circle.” On November 10, 2017 Shanachie Entertainment will release REBIRTH OF SOUL, a recording that Syleena has long wanted to bring to fruition. Conceived and produced by her father, the legendary soul/blues singer and producer Syl Johnson, whose original hit version of “Take Me To The River” was covered by Al Green and Talking Heads. Everyone from Jay-Z and Kanye West to Wu-Tang and Usher has sampled Syl Johnson’s recordings. REBIRTH OF SOUL features Syleena Johnson’s searing interpretations of classic R&B songs, mainly from the Fifties and Sixties, recorded in real time with live musicians just the way “real music” used to be made. As Syl Johnson notes,“people don’t use live musicians much anymore; but every musician brings his heart to a recording.” Recording in Chicago, Syl Johnson’s long-time base and Syleena’s hometown, the sessions include musicians who played on hit R&B recordings there over the years and a majority of the album features songs associated with Chicago artists, songwriters or record labels. Syleena shares, “The inspiration behind REBIRTH OF SOUL is my father. I wanted to honor him and classic soul music in a time when autotune and electronic beats reign supreme. While I am not against this kind of creative musicianship, there is so much more to the real thing. True Soul music tells stories…stories that can heal a nation.”

As an artist who came of age during the 90’s hip-hop era and broke through in the early 2000’s, Syleena had never actually recorded live in the studio previously. “The difference with this album,” Syleena relates, “ is that I had the opportunity to record with live instrumentation as well as actual musicians from the (classic) era. On this album I didn’t write any of the songs and it was the first time in a while that I worked with my father. I had to tap into the soul and spirit of the era of each song to bring authenticity to the project.”

The songs on REBIRTH OF SOUL, hand-picked by Syl Johnson, run the gamut from lesser-known gems such as Betty Everett’s “There’ll Come A Time,” Johnson’s own “We Did It” and Bettye Swann’s “Make Me Yours” to such landmark hits as “Chain of Fools” and “I’d Rather Go Blind,” done definitively by Aretha Franklin and Etta James respectively. Syleena manifests an uncanny ability to get inside of each song, digging deep to deliver passionate performances that bring a fresh spark to even the best-known selections. “For each song I channeled the emotions of the record,” Syleena confides. “I put myself in the mind of each storyteller and in doing this I was able to merge myself into the story of each record. This is how I was able to put my own personal stamp on each record.”

The authentic feel of REBIRTH OF SOUL stems from Syl Johnson’s production, arrangements by longtime Chicago bandleader/arranger/ keyboardist Tom Washington, and in-the-pocket playing by such musicians as recently deceased drummer Mo Jennings, whose credits include the likes of Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf and saxophonist Willie Henderson, who played and produced hits by the Chi-Lites, Barbara Acklin and Tyrone Davis. Interestingly, it was Syleena’s first collaboration with her father since his 1994 recording BACK IN THE GAME when she was just a teenager. “The process of creating music with my father is not a difficult one. It’s actually the only space we get along perfectly,” confides Syleena. “Music is our strongest tie, and no matter what, he has always respected that particular bond inside of studio walls. He is very creative as an artist and he loves music with his true heart.”

Syleena Johnson grew up outside of Chicago and one might say music chose her, although she was initially discouraged from getting into the business by her father. Her mother, incidentally, became the nation’s first Black female police commissioner. Syleena released the independent album LOVE HANGOVER in 1996. A Jive Records executive immediately offered Syleena a recording contract upon hearing her demo tape. The dissolution of a relationship with an abusive boyfriend provided raw material for her major label debut album, CHAPTER 1: LOVE, PAIN & FORGIVENESS, in 2001, which yielded the hit “I Am Your Woman,” penned by fellow Chicagoan R. Kelly, and led to critical acclaim as an exceptional new voice on the R&B scene. Her follow-up, CHAPTER 2: THE VOICE, which featured guests such as Busta Rhymes, yielded the hit “Guess What” and was hailed as one of the best R&B albums of the year. Meanwhile, Kanye West tapped Syleena to handle the vocals on the Top Ten worldwide hit “All Falls Down,” which also garnered her and West a Grammy nomination and four VMA nominations for the video. With momentum building, Syleena released CHAPTER 3: THE FLESH, which featured guests R. Kelly, Anthony Hamilton, Jermaine Dupri, Common and Twista—a mark of respect from her peers—as well as the hit “Another Relationship.” Subsequently she also scored a hit with Cam’ron and Kanye West with “Down & Out” and appeared on albums by DMX and Shawnna. Syleena released CHAPTER 4: LABOR PAINS on her own Aneelys Records in 2008,. The album opened with sounds from the birth of her and her husband’s first child, a son. In 2011 she gave birth to their second son. CHAPTER 5: UNDERRATED followed and featured the single “A Boss” and a stunning duet with Tweet, “Angry Girl.” In 2012 Syleena released the ACOUSTIC SOUL SESSIONS EP and the following year she joined forces with Musiq Soulchild for the reggae album 9INE. CHAPTER 6: COUPLES THERAPY followed in 2014, coinciding with her national profile via the reality show R&B DIVAS ATLANTA and MARRIAGE BOOT CAMP, as well as an appearance with her family on IYANLA: FIX MY LIFE. With the release of REBIRTH OF SOUL, Syleena Johnson reaffirms her place as one of the most dynamic singers of her generation, rooted in the great soul tradition and uniquely capable of moving it forward.

Another passion that persist in Syleena’s heart is health and wellness. A few years ago she launched, SheLean Health & Fitness which helps women in the area of health, nutrition and fitness. SheLean Nutrition, Health and Fitness is an online company created to cater to women of various demographics. SheLean believes that optimal health and wellness starts in the home with the woman, who is the threshold of the family. Thus, by motivating and educating her with the tools to achieve mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional health, it will subsequently trickle down to the family and help to prevent disease, mental illness, and obesity by the masses. Our mission and goal is to create an online network and portal where women can attain the resources to do just that. Our Motto is that in order for one to achieve Health and Wellness, one must first understand Health from Awareness. The bible says, “My people Perish from lack of knowledge.” SheLeanintends to save lives, but to also increase the quality of living of those lives.

In 2018, Syleena Johnson added the title of author to her name with the highly anticipated release of her self-help book, "The Weight Is Over". “The Weight is Over” is her compelling and painful journey toward self-love and discovery, while chronicling her battles with body image birthed in adolescence and carried throughout her music career. Celebrity Financial Coach, Bestselling Author and Financial Expert on the “Steve Harvey Show” Presents the Keynote Address Sunday at 2:00
Named by Urban Influence Magazine as one of the 20 Hottest Influencers in America, Dr. Lynn Richardson is an author, entertainment executive and celebrity financial coach who uses her quick wit and humorous presentation style to help others face their money issues and achieve personal, professional and spiritual harmony. With more than two decades of leading roles in the banking and real estate sales industries, Lynn's vision is best portrayed in her books, most notably Living Check to Monday: The Real Deal About Money, Credit and Financial Security, which achieved Best Seller status at the Congressional Black Caucus Conference Book Pavilion. Lynn is featured regularly on The Steve TV Show, The Halllmark Channel's Home & Family Show, BET Networks and has appeared in Essence, Jet, Upscale, on Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell, and in countless media outlets nationwide. She has served as Chief of Operations for Russell Simmons' & Dr. Benjamin Chavis' Hip Hop Summit Action Network and is currently the President and CEO of MC Lyte's Hip Hop Sisters Foundation and President and COO of MC Lyte's Sunni Gyrl entertainment and celebrity management firm -- where she oversees empowerment programs that impact the globe.

The Chicago native began her career in 1995 as a financial aid counselor at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago, before landing a succession of leading roles in the mortgage industry. After joining American Home Mortgage in 1999 (then CNI National Mortgage), Richardson was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2003 and consistently ranked among the top one percent of more than 4,000 loan officers nationally. Richardson’s unrelenting desire to help the direst credit-qualifying cases resulted in her closing more than $100 million in mortgages during her first few years in the industry. Her approach to wealth creation helped a woman with four bankruptcies and two foreclosures become a successful home owner and real estate investor in just nine months. Richardson packaged her winning approach to helping consumers close on mortgage loans into the Mortgage Approval Plan, which is now a signature industry tool used by top mortgage practitioners to assist consumers who need a roadmap to home ownership. In 2003, she created and hosted “Wealth ‘n Real Estate,” a flagship call-in talk show, for the nationally recognized Chicago station, WVON 1690 AM and in 2005, she published her first book, Living Check to Monday: The Real Deal About Money, Credit and Financial Security, which achieved "Best Seller" status at the 2008 Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference Author's Pavilion. In 2006,Richardson joined JP Morgan Chase as Vice President of Business Development for select regions and quickly advanced to Vice President of National Strategic Partnerships, a coveted role responsible for creating and managing mutually beneficial alliances with a multitude of entities and trade organizations. Later that year, Richardson was hand picked to serve as the coordinator of The Delta Challenge Home Ownership initiative, a signature economic development program of the international women's public service organization, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Richardson's leadership resulted in more than 100,000 consumer touch points worldwide and 35 million in closings for Chase, a 389 percent increase over the previous three year period. In 2007,Richardson was responsible for implementing the Chase/AKA Keys to Homeownership initiative, which leveraged the influence of the oldest black sorority to further establish home ownership as the foundation for building wealth within the African American community.

In August 2008, Richardson was named National Homeownership Advisory Council Chair of the Hip Hop Summit Action Network, a non-profit, non-partisan national coalition founded by entertainment and fashion mogul Russell Simmons and civil rights activist Dr. Benjamin Chavis that unites artists, executives, and advocates against poverty and injustice. In this capacity, she served as a fresh voice to the $59 Billion dollar hip hop community promoting responsible personal finance management. She joined hip hop celebrity panelists in addressing urban professionals and young adults in free seminars organized around empowering themes. During that same time, she launched the “HBCU Health, Wealth 'n Real Estate Tour” as a result of her partnership with State Farm and Ian Smith’s 50 Million Pound Challenge. Tour stops have included Howard, Hampton, and Clark-Atlanta universities to help students acquire wealth creation tools that will safeguard them against bad credit, insurmountable debt and the low post-collegiate net worth that plagues African American graduates nationwide.

Richardson released her second book, "Living Beyond Check to Monday: A Spiritual Path to Wealth and Prosperity," along with her third highly anticipated real estate book, "Yes, You're Approved! The Real Deal About Getting a Mortgage and Buying a Home,"

Immediately following her Main Stage Appearance on Sunday at 2:00, you’ll have an opportunity to meet Dr. Lynn Richardson as she signs copies of her latest release with C0-Autho rMC Lyte, Your Man Your Money at the Sunni Gyrl Pavilion!
